Cookie policy

Most cookie policies are long because the site behind them uses a great deal of tracking. This one is short for the opposite reason.

In force from 24 August 2026

The short version

Reel Outlook sets no cookies at all. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising or retargeting cookie, no social media cookie and no third-party script placing one on our behalf. Nothing on this site follows you to another site.

The one thing we do store

When you dismiss the notice at the bottom of the page, your choice is written to your browser's local storage under a single entry named reeloutlook.cookie-choice. Its value records only that a choice was made, and whether it was “essential only” or an acknowledgement of the notice.

Local storage is not a cookie. It is a small area of your own browser that this site can read when you return, and its contents are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Its only function is to stop the notice reappearing on every page.

Because the site does no tracking either way, both buttons in the notice produce the same practical outcome for your privacy. We show the notice and the choice for transparency rather than because consent is needed to load anything.

Strictly necessary functionality

The pages themselves are static files. There is nothing else stored on your device: no session identifier, no reader identifier, no preference beyond the one described above, and no local record of the pages you have viewed.

Removing it

Clear site data for reeloutlookuk.com in your browser settings, or use private browsing. The entry disappears, nothing else about the site changes, and the notice will appear again on your next visit. You can also decline browser storage for this site entirely; the site works normally without it, and the notice will simply reappear each time.

Operator sites are a different matter

This policy stops at the edge of reeloutlookuk.com. The gambling operators we link to are separate companies and most of them do use cookies, including for advertising and measurement, once you arrive on their sites. Their cookie and privacy notices govern that, not ours, and we have no control over or visibility of what they set.

If this changes

Should we ever introduce a measurement tool, this page and our privacy policy will be updated first, and a genuine consent choice would be presented before anything was set. We will not start using cookies while a page says we do not.

Questions about anything on this page can go to editor@reeloutlookuk.com.

Reel Outlook uses no advertising or analytics cookies. We store one small preference in your browser so this notice does not reappear. Details are in our cookie policy.
