The commercial relationship

We take part in affiliate programmes run by licensed gambling operators. When you follow an outbound link from this site and open an account, the operator may pay us a commission. Depending on the programme, that payment can be a one-off amount for a qualifying new customer, a share of the operator's revenue from that customer, or a combination of the two.

You are never charged for this. It costs you nothing extra, your account terms are unaffected, and the amount you deposit or stake is not altered by having arrived through us.

Where the links are

Every commercial link on this site is a button or text link that visibly names the operator it opens. They appear on our home page comparison, in our reviews, and nowhere else. We do not place commercial links inside guides, inside safer gambling content, or behind text that does not say where it goes. Links to the Gambling Commission, GAMSTOP, GamCare and GambleAware are never commercial — we receive nothing for those.

What commercial arrangements do affect

Honesty about influence is more useful than a claim of purity, so: commercial considerations affect which operators we have the practical means to cover, because an operator with no affiliate programme is one we have no commercial reason to feature. That is a real limitation of any affiliate publisher, including this one, and it is why we describe the site as a comparison of selected brands rather than of the whole market.

What they do not affect

• The running order. Positions follow the weighted scoring in our editorial policy. Placement is not for sale, and no operator can pay to appear higher.
• The scores. Nobody buys a number. Scores move when the evidence moves.
• The criticism. Where we think an operator falls short, we say so on the same page as the link. We do not remove or soften criticism at an operator's request.
• The facts. Licensee names, licence numbers and permissions come from the Gambling Commission's public register, which anyone can check independently of us.

Who you are actually dealing with

When you follow a link from here, you leave Reel Outlook and enter into a relationship with a separate licensed company. That company — not us — holds your funds, sets your account terms, runs its own promotions, verifies your identity, handles your withdrawals and answers your complaints. We have no visibility of your account and no ability to act on it. The operator's terms and privacy notice govern everything that happens after the click.
