Why the licence is the only starting point that holds up

Any business offering remote casino games to customers in Great Britain must hold an operating licence from the Gambling Commission. The licence is issued to a company, not to a brand name, and one company can run several brands under a single account — something that matters more than it sounds, as two of the five sites below demonstrate.

A British licence brings obligations that a reader can rely on: participation in the national online self-exclusion scheme, deposit limit tools, published complaints routes and independent dispute resolution. It does not make gambling safe, and it does not make any individual site suitable for you. It does mean there is a named company and a regulator standing behind the account you open.

Does appearing on this page mean a casino is safe for me?

No. It means the company behind the brand holds a current Gambling Commission licence to offer remote casino games in Great Britain, and that we could confirm that on the public register. A licence sets standards for how a business must treat you; it says nothing about whether gambling is a good idea for you personally, and it does not reduce the risk of losing money. If you have any doubt, the safest option is not to open the account.

Why do two of the five brands share the same licence number?

Because Spin Genie and Lucky Vegas are both operated by Skill On Net Limited under one account with the regulator. This is common in the industry and perfectly legitimate, but it changes what "shopping around" means. If you had a poor experience with one of those brands, you would be dealing with the same licensed company at the other — the same complaints route, the same account terms, and the same self-exclusion record. We name licensees precisely so that this kind of overlap is visible rather than hidden behind two different logos.

You earn commission from these operators. How does that affect what I read?
